The 2005 Zingari, Petra’s entry-level wine, is made from a blend of Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Sangiovese sourced from the estate’s less well-exposed vines and aged in stainless steel. The 2005 exhibits a dark ruby color and perfumed aromatics along with a very characteristic Maremma warmth on the palate, where notes of blueberries, blackberries, licorice and spices emerge from the glass. It is a highly pleasing wine that is sure to find many admirers. Anticipated maturity: '07 - '12. |
